Minnesota Economic Development Foundation

The Minnesota Economic Development Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 private non-profit corporation formed for the purpose of building stronger Minnesota communities through economic development outreach, education, training and research initiatives. Since its formation in 2003, the Foundation has been committed to cultivating “next generation” economic and community development leaders as a means of building capacity within Minnesota communities that share the goal of sustaining local economic vitality.

Internship Grants

Each year, the Foundation awards grants to EDAM members organizations to cover a portion of the cost to employ an intern focusing on economic development related work.

Scholarship scroll

Continuing Education Scholarships

The Foundation periodically offers scholarships for professional advancement opportunities for EDAM members and other Minnesota economic development professionals, such as the International Economic Development Council’s (IEDC) courses.

Basic Economic Development Course

In collaboration with EDAM, the Foundation offers this IEDC-accredited course each year and offers tuition assistance to Minnesota attendees meeting certain criteria.
