2017 Day at the Capitol Partners

EDAM, MAPCED, SBDC, Minnesota Brownfields, and Metro Cities are partnering to bring you a great event at the Capitol!

Join us March 7, 2018 and get involved in the state legislative process. You will have the opportunity to visit with your lawmakers and legislative leadership.

There is no cost to attend this event, but we ask that you register so we know how many people to expect.

Visits

Each participant is asked to schedule visits with your lawmaker in advance. Please contact both your Representative and Senator to schedule your meetings any time after 11:30am, if possible.

You can find your lawmaker using the district finder.

Free Registration for Members of Participating Organizations

Register for the Day at the Capitol at no charge if you are a member of EDAM, MAPCED, Metro Cities, Minnesota Brownfields or SBDC. A lunch voucher will be provided.

9:30 a.m.

Educational Program with Speakers


11:00 a.m.

Lunch — Attendees will be given a voucher for lunch at the capitol complex


Noon

Visits with Legislators — Individual legislator visits to be scheduled on your own.

Afternoon Group Meetings — Meeting with leaders and chairs will be set.

Committee Hearings — Depending on committee schedule for the day, we will be presenting an update.

The five organizations listed above are coming together to demonstrate the importance of local tools to address housing, economic development and community revitalization. It will be a great opportunity to meet with lawmakers and network with your peers across the state.
