The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) allocates $350 billion for state and local fiscal recovery.  A recent article from the Brookings Institution notes that "The decisions communities make in allocating their dollars will determine whether they merely enjoy a brief stimulus or seed a new trajectory of inclusive economic growth. The stakes are high. In 10 years, we may look back at this time and ask: Which places merely spent their money, and which places invested it?"

Join us for a conversation with Joe Parilla, a Fellow with the Brookings Institution and co-author of the article. This webinar will provide insights into how communities might take a multi-pronged approach to using their ARPA funding to stabilize, strategize, collaborate and reorganize. Participants will discuss strategic, collaborative investments that will make meaningful long term impacts on their communities.
