Evolve Workplace before and after the transformation

Redevelopment, or adaptive reuse, presents an opportunity to repurpose buildings into unique, intimate, and flexible workspaces. While a lot of attention has been put on co-working spaces in the downtowns, come for a chance to hear and see how a vacant building in West St. Paul has been repurposed into a co-working and community meeting space known as Evolve Workplace. The space has provided a new use for the community complimenting other economic development initiatives for the City.

We will have a chance to tour the facility and hear from a panel that will include Evolve's owner, a user, the City of West St. Paul's Community Development Director, Jim Hartshorn. In addition, we will have an out of town guest panelist, Brian Watson. He is an entrepreneur, connector, and community developer. Brian has been starting and running businesses since he was 17 and believes that entrepreneurship is the greatest tool we have to positively impact our communities. His startup, Proximity, strives to help connect the world’s mobile workforce through an innovative combination of hardware and software that manages coworking spaces across the world.

After the panel and tour, there will be a time of networking with refreshments.
