Once known only for “cars and bars,” downtown Hopkins is “the next Linden Hills” of the metro, as described by Minnesota Monthly, and now so much more than cars and bars

… characterized by new apartment complexes, an arts center, cool restaurants, bars, and shops; all resulting in an award-winning and vibrant downtown.

Join us as we learn how Hopkins went from “cars and bars” to so much more. An overview of the revitalization of downtown Hopkins will be presented by Kersten Elverum, City of Hopkins Director of Economic Development & Planning, who will be joined by David Benowitz, owner of Craft & Crew Hospitality and Pub 819 (along with 4 other metro restaurants).

Following the presentation, and weather permitting, we’ll take a walking tour of downtown, ending with a happy hour that showcases two of Hopkins’ many revitalization successes – LTD Brewery and Pub 819 – with appetizers from Pub 819 and LTD beer at LTD Brewery. We’ll also have a few prizes from Hopkins businesses to give away!
