Burnsville’s HOC Attracts More Development

The Burnsville EDA at their November 17th meeting approved two contracts for additional development in the Heart of the City 54 acre redevelopment project.

A Purchase and Development Contract was approved for NLD Holdings LLC to purchase 1.7 acres from the EDA for the purpose of constructing a Hilton Garden Inn.  The hotel will have 100 rooms, conference rooms, restaurant, pool, and fitness center.  Construction is expected to begin in summer of 2014, with a summer of 2015 grand opening.

At the same meeting, the Burnsville EDA approved a Development Contract with United Properties Residential LLC for development of a 51 unit Applewood Pointe Senior Cooperative.  Applewood Pointe is an upscale cooperative with a library, sun room, game room, fitness center, craft room, and hobby/woodworking shop.  Average price is expected to be approximately $283,000. 

This has been on our radar screen, this area, for a couple years,” Alex Hall, V-P of Development for Untied Properties said of the Burnsville site. “ Nearby amenities such as the CVS Pharmacy, the Burnsville Performing Arts Center and other businesses make the location appealing for prospective buyers”, Hall said.
