LHB Announces New Hires and Professional Recognitions

Minnesota and Wisconsin; (April 25, 2018) – LHB, Inc. is pleased to announce the following professional recognitions and new employees to our Duluth and Minneapolis, MN offices:

Caralyn Kieper, AIA is now licensed in Minnesota as an Architect. Caralyn joined LHB in 2012 with her Master of Architecture degree from North Dakota State University. As a part of LHB’s Integrative Design Team, Caralyn works with government, healthcare, education, and commercial clients to design high performance and sustainable projects. Caralyn also serves the Duluth community as an active member of the American Institute of Architects, the Duluth Armory Building Committee, and the FUSE Duluth Chamber (past Leadership Council), as well as a Group Leader for Mentor Connection-Northforce. Jim Muehlbauer, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C is now licensed in Minnesota as an Architect. Jim joined LHB in 2016 with 30 years of architectural design experience. As a project architect and sustainability specialist, Jim capitalizes on experience, knowledge, and passion for architecture and sustainable design to increase customer satisfaction and help create a more sustainable built environment. Sarah Kern, LEED Green Assoc. is now licensed in Minnesota as an Architect. Sarah joined LHB in 2012 and graduated from North Dakota State University with her Master of Architecture.  As a part of LHB’s Integrative Design Team, Sarah works within our Healthcare Studio; she specializes in both new construction and remodel projects.

Mary Keefe, ENV SP, a civil designer with LHB’s Pipeline Group, has passed the Certified Quality Improvement Associate exam from the American Society for Quality (ASQ). Mary joined LHB in 2013 and has since been providing engineering services for pipeline and industrial construction projects. Matt Settergren joins the Minneapolis Office as a Civil Engineer. Matt, a licensed engineer in Minnesota and North Dakota, graduated from the University of North Dakota with his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Specializing in transportation-based projects, Matt will work as a part of LHB’s Civil Group with municipal, county, and state government clients.
