MNEDF Offers Scholarships for Hamline University’s Economic Development Certificate Program

The Minnesota Economic Development Foundation is offering up to four $1,500 scholarships to Minnesota economic development professionals attending the 2021-2022 Hamline University Economic Development Certificate program. The class will meet in seven monthly sessions between November 2021 and June 2022. The scholarships will cover approximately 50% of the cost of attending the program.

The Economic Development Certificate comprehensively examines the economic development process from both government agency and private sector perspectives, giving participants the critical knowledge and skills necessary to enable communities to prosper, including:
  • Enhancing knowledge and understanding of economic development tools, including the Economic Community Assessment and the Economic Development Authority Handbook.
  • Building expertise in the creation, negotiation, and enforcement of development agreements.
  • Networking with community officials on multiple site visits across the Twin Cities metro area.

Awards will be made based on need and relevance to career goals to full-time Minnesota economic development professionals. Recipients will receive an additional 10% Learning Partner discount for the course.
