How long have you been a member of EDAM? 2 years

What do you find most valuable about belonging to EDAM?
The wealth of professional development opportunities it provides. Through EDAM’s ongoing educational events, I’ve been able to strengthen my skills and stay current with best practices in economic development. The resources and learning experiences have been incredibly impactful for my growth, and the chance to connect with other professionals across the state only enhances that value. Being part of EDAM keeps me both informed and inspired in my work.

Share an interesting fact about yourself that few of your fellow EDAM members may know.
During my time at St. Cloud State, I spent a semester studying abroad in Northern England. It pushed me way out of my comfort zone and ended up being one of the most eye-opening experiences of my life. Funny enough, I also met my future wife on that trip—though I definitely didn’t see that coming at the time.

What's your favorite place in the world?
My favorite place in the world has to be Rome, Italy. I’ve been lucky enough to visit twice, and both times totally blew me away. Everything there feels ancient—because, well, it is. The architecture, the history, the religious sites… it’s all just incredible. You can’t walk a block without bumping into something that’s been standing for a couple thousand years.

Other than your current job, what would your dream job be?
If I weren’t doing what I’m doing now, I think my dream job would be restoring vintage motorcycles. It’s something I’ve messed around with since high school, and I’ve always loved the craftsmanship behind those classic ’60s and ’70s bikes—especially the old Triumphs, Hondas, and Kawasakis. Getting to bring them back to life for a living would be awesome.

What are you currently watching?
My wife and I are currently working our way through season 3 of Dexter on Netflix. As usual, we’re way behind the curve—pretty sure everyone else watched this like a decade ago.
